Old Whaling Company is a family-owned home and body brand based in Charleston, South Carolina. Founded in 2012, our belief is that high quality, handcrafted bath products can be beautiful and nourishing without compromising on gentle ingredients or cherished fragrances.

We handcraft our products with the utmost care and attention to detail, with a mission to provide gentle yet effective additions for your self-care routine. All products are phthalate free, paraben-free, mineral oil free, gluten free, and never tested on animals.Fresh. Fragrant. Coastal.
Inspired by the sea, our fragrances are selected to evoke our favorite coastal destinations, our beloved city of Charleston, and memories of past travels. Our hope is that our products leave you feeling fresh, clean, and a little closer to your favorite coast.
Handcrafted, Right Here on the Coast
Every single one of our products starts right here — not overseas, not outsourced, but handmade by our women-led team in our own warehouse tucked into West Ashley, just outside historic Charleston, South Carolina.
We believe the best bath and body products come from real hands, real care, and a focus on gentle ingredients.
Each month, our team handcraftts an average of 11,450 bath bombs, handcuts 9,200+ bar soaps, produces 10,400 8oz body butters, and another 10,200 travel size body butters. Plus we create over 15,400 individual shower steamers (bundled into roughly 3,900 units) and handpour nearly 3,450 candles, each one infused with the sea-inspired scents that carry a little bit of the Charleston coastline into your home.
Every land crafted, sea-inspired item is still made the same way we started: by hand, by women, by a small business that calls the East Coast home.
At the end of the day, it's not really about the numbers. It's about what they represent. Behind every product is someone who cared enough to make it well. We hope our products are an everyday source of joy, a little wave of the coast delivered straight to your bath or shelf.
